Most
alternating pressure systems use small import style pumps that run
full time with no pressure sensors. The "Pressure Sensing
Technology" of the Airodyne allows it to operate at lower
pressure levels, providing better therapy and comfort for patients.
The Airodyne system costs less than a 15 watt bulb to operate, and
will stay inflated if there is a power failure.
Our customers using this mattress find it very comfortable and that the caregiver workload is dramatically reduced. Anyone who has a mobility impairment that does not allow them to turn over or move in bed is at risk of getting pressure sores. The Airodyne line of mattresses has proven to be very effective in preventing the causes of skin breakdown. Airodyne mattresses completely replace the mattress on a hospital or single bed. The mattresses will fit Craftmatic? bed frames. The PT 1100 consists of 17 air tubes set over a 2" convoluted foam base. The tubes are 5 1/2" tall, making the mattress 7 1/2" deep. the 3 cells under the users head do not alternate, for better user comfort. This mattress is also equipped with transport lock, which retains the air if the user must be transported in the bed and also retains air if there is a power failure. Another great feature is the C.P.R. "quick release valve" which deflates the entire mattress system quickly should emergency procedures become necessary. |

I.P.S.
Technology (Intelligent Pressure Sensing) is what separates this
mattress from other products available in today's market. I.P.S.
Technology allows the system to deflate to zero pressure in the
deflated zone and allows for accurate pressure levels in the
inflated zone. This controlled movement of the air cells gives the
benefit of alternating pressure without the extremely high peak
pressures. The result is better patient comfort, lower
interface pressures, and superior results!
The I.P.S. (intelligent pressure sensing) technology reacts to patient movement and automatically readjusts air pressure to optimum for comfort and healing. Airodyne mattresses are equipped with a C.P.R. "quick release" that immediately deflates the entire mattress for lifesaving procedures. The Airodyne
line of mattresses has proven to be very effective in preventing the
causes of skin breakdown. The Airodyne mattresses will completely
replace the mattress on a hospital or single bed. The mattress will
fit Craftmatic? bed frames. |
